With a growing pipeline of public sector and education projects in Galway and the surrounding region, the company is known for strong programme delivery, quality finishes, and maintaining long-term relationships with both clients and subcontractors.

The Role: Site Manager This Site Manager role is based on a new build national school project in Galway City, Co Galway. You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the expected quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager and commercial team, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage site activities, oversee health and safety compliance, and ensure smooth programme delivery throughout the build. This is a hands‑on Site Manager position suited to someone with strong experience delivering education, public sector, or large‑scale building projects for a main contractor in Ireland.

Must Have Requirements

Must have 5+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role with a main contractor in Ireland

Proven experience required on education, public sector, or new build construction projects

Strong understanding of Irish building regulations and site health&safety requirements

Excellent subcontractor coordination and programme management experience

Experience managing live construction site activities from groundworks through to handover

Preferred Experience

School or education project experience preferred

Experience using Procore, BCAR systems, or similar construction management software beneficial

Trade or construction management background advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations on the national school project in Galway

Coordinate subcontractors, site labour, and materials across all stages of construction

Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme targets and quality standards

Maintain high levels of health and safety compliance on site

Liaise with the Project Manager, design team, and client representatives

Monitor progress and prepare regular site reports

Oversee quality control, inspections, and snag management

Ensure site records and documentation are maintained accurately

About You You are an experienced Site Manager with a strong background delivering building projects for Irish main contractors. You are organised, practical, and confident managing subcontractors and driving programme delivery in a live site environment. You have strong communication skills, understand the importance of quality and safety, and can maintain momentum on site while working closely with the wider construction team.
