Lead Medical Device Equipment Design Engineer (Contract), Galway

Equipment Design Engineer (Contractor)– Galway Reporting to the Senior Equipment Design Engineer, this role involves designing, manufacturing and improving equipment and tooling for the production of medical devices.

Responsibilities

Generate equipment designs.

Investigate new technologies.

Provide technical leadership.

Coordinate activities and work closely with technicians.

Ensure equipment solutions are delivered within budget and schedule, and comply with quality requirements.

Collaborate with internal and external specialists and participate in Continuous Improvement projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Engineering Degree equivalent to or above NFQ Level 8.

Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role.

Demonstrated track record in equipment design.

Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks, pneumatics, workshop equipment, and machine building.

Strong communication skills and creative problem‑solving approach.
