Consultant Breast Radiologist– Key Benefits Consultant Breast Radiology role in Ireland offers:

€11,125

Learning and development support:

37 hours

Annual leave:

30 working days plus 10 public holidays

Tomosynthesis, ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy systems

Setting:

National Breast Screening Programme with strong QA and governance frameworks

The Role As a Consultant Breast Radiologist in Galway, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality breast screening, assessment and diagnostic breast imaging services.

The role includes:

Diagnostic breast imaging

Interventional breast procedures

Screening and assessment clinics

Breast MDT participation

Image-guided biopsy, including stereotactic biopsy where appropriate

Audit, quality improvement and clinical governance

Teaching, training and academic collaboration with the University of Galway

You will work closely with breast surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiographers, clinical nurse specialists and wider MDT colleagues.

Consultant Breast Radiologist Requirements We are interested in speaking with doctors who have:

Specialist training or fellowship experience in Breast Radiology

A minimum of 12 months’ dedicated breast imaging training or equivalent experience

Experience in diagnostic and interventional breast imaging

Experience in high-volume screening and assessment clinics

Competence in biopsy and stereotactic procedures

An interest in audit, quality improvement, teaching or research
