Financial Controller, Galway

Job Title: Financial Controller Location: Galway Status: Permanent Position Summary: Seeking an experienced, driven, and highly capable Financial Controller to join my clients team and support the next phase of their journey. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will oversee the companys day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on and diverse role that combines managing core financial activities with developing scalable processes and systems to support continued expansion. It offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the growth of a fast-growing international business by helping build the structures, controls, and culture needed for long-term success. Key Responsibilities: Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making Prepare board-level reporting packs and KPI dashboards Oversee and manage the financial operations of the group (2 entities), ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of reporting Act as the primary point of contact for outsourced finance contractors, providing direction, review, and quality control Qualifications and Requirements: Experience managing or working with outsourced finance functions or shared service providers Strong understanding of financial controls, governance, and best practice process design Experience in life sciences, biotech, medtech, or a regulated environment is advantageous Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role within a scaling or high-growth environment For a confidential conversation about the position contact Karl on or By applying to this job post you agree that Sterling Engineering may process your personal data for recruitment purposeTPBN1_IJ
