Overview Senior Software Engineer– Core Experiences Team

Responsible for building and maintaining foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, identify trade‑offs, and deliver solutions via cross‑platform SDK.

Optimize existing functionality to improve performance such as faster loading and intelligent parsing.

Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and scheduled jobs using Kotlin.

Qualifications

Systems thinking and a focus on end‑to‑end design and simplicity.

Speed in generating ideas and making decisions on what can ship now versus needs time.

Collaboration skills to work with designers, marketers, and PMs.

Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and familiarity with Java.

Prior experience with GCP is a plus.
