Matthew Duggan Transport Limited, Reddington, Riverstown, Glanmire, Co. Cork, T45 P634. Our client, based in Glanmire, Co. Cork, is seeking Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Drivers for immediate start at their facility. Qualifications

1-3 years of previous experience as an HGV Driver Holder of an equivalent category CE or C1E driving licence via mutual recognition agreement No minimum academic requirements Experience delivering in both urban and rural environments Competent to parallel park vehicles, practice emergency stops, and supervise loading and unloading of cargoResponsibilities

Safely operate HGVs, including loading and unloading cargo Deliver goods to specified locations, ensuring on-time arrival in good condition Conduct daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance reporting to ensure roadworthiness Comply with all driving regulations, including EU and Irish transport laws (e.g., tachograph and driver’s hours regulations)Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery notes and logbooks Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members to resolve delivery issues Follow safety protocols for transporting hazardous materials, if applicable Ensure the security of cargo during transit Apply knowledge of transport environment, mechanical components of vehicles, road traffic laws, road transport legislation, cargo types, and vehicle cargo capacityAnticipate foreseeable road problems, control vehicle performance, and interpret traffic signals Maintain concentration for long periods, operate GPS systems, and read maps Compensation&Hours
