Role: To lead the development and maintenance of Quality packaging systems to regulatory legislation, customer and third-party standards. To ensure the technical requirements of the business are fulfilled. To provide technical expertise and advice in areas of packaging&legal requirements as well as leadership, support, and training for quality improvement projects. Responsibilities: Communication&People Management Skills Lead motivate&develop quality team Coordinate with all departments and managers, representing the quality team at senior management level. Influence decision making to ensure packaging quality needs of the business are being met Ensure that the company is kept aware of legislative&customer requirements and these are implemented to ensure that packaging standards are met or exceeded Ensure the supplier management process is maintained with detailed specification, risk assessment, audit and approval records for all raw materials including packaging. Review of suppliers to give feedback on performance and frequency in relation to risk assessmentManage the approval of all new suppliers Keep buying team informed of any supplier non-conformances or deviations in performance. Customer Management Support the General Manager in the implementation&review of detailed finished product specifications to comply with legal&customer requirements. Manage queries or complaints from customers in a timely manner, involving other teams as required. Ensure procedures, process documentation and system in use comply with legal, best practice&customer requirements. Setting KPI&objectives Risk assessment of testing schedules Required Own transport required due to location in Rathcoole Education in a related course 2 years of experience in a packaging role Problem-solving attitude Base knowledge of the relationship of product, process, packaging equipment and packaging material.Accomplished IT Skills using Microsoft suite of programs, Packaging specification and Quality systems are essential
