Description Enable Ireland, a leading independent provider, is seeking a motivated Outreach Respite Team Lead for its Carlow / Kilkenny Respite Services.
Contract Type : Permanent Contract Hours : Full time Salary Scale :€49,597 – €60,013 pro rata per annum Annual Leave Entitlement : 30 days pro rata per annum
Overview of the Post Assist the manager with coordination and delivery of outreach respite services to children and young people. Responsibilities include developing goals and plans with families, allocating staff, monitoring service delivery, and supervising the team.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver the range of outreach support services to children and young people.
Develop person-centered goals and plans in partnership with families.
Allocate staff and monitor effective service delivery.
Provide administrative support to the service.
Supervise and support the allocated staff team as directed by the Manager.
Oversee services such as after-school, day, evening, weekend respite, summer camps, and other alternative respite options.
Qualifications and Experience
Recognised relevant third-level qualification in health care, social care, child care, or nursing (minimum level 7 or equivalent).
At least 2 years’ experience working with children/young people in home, centre, or community-based settings.
At least 1 year’s experience working with children with a range of disabilities, including autism.
Full driver’s licence.
Eligibility to work in the state.
Relevant registration.
Knowledge of best practice in disability services and the social model of disability.
Knowledge of a family-centred approach in service delivery.
Broad knowledge of Enable Ireland services.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service-related database systems.
Previous supervisory experience.
Specific knowledge of disability and interagency working.
