Support people with disabilities to live an ordinary life within the Day Service setting. Work as part of a team to plan and deliver programmes for adults with intellectual disability/autism. Follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported. Contribute towards the support, coaching, managing, motivating and developing a mixed workforce of volunteers and employees.What you will need

Hold a qualification at Level 6 or above on the QQI Framework– or equivalent qualification in Community/Health, Social Care or Education. Have 2 years experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities. An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.Experience of running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism. An understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE. A willingness to promote this model within your role. Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement. An ability to contribute towards the support, coaching, managing, motivating and developing a mixed workforce of volunteers and employees.Additional information
