Role Details

Project Engineer (Mechanical)– Kilkenny – Permanent – Monday to Friday (office/site based and WFH). Overview

Due to continued success and growth across the Water division, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) Team as a Project Engineer. The successful candidate will work on a wide scope of Water and Wastewater Treatment projects across the Island of Ireland, coordinating a multidisciplinary team and overseeing design development from early concept to construction.Day to Day Responsibilities

Take ownership of delegated projects and project issues. Ensure thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract for all assigned projects. Evaluate client specifications and liaise with client and client representatives. Communicate with the Project Manager, Design Leads and Sub-Consultants during project execution.Participate in the final design, equipment selection and procurement activities. Organise, co‑coordinate and manage design activities while maintaining Health&Safety in line with Veolia standards. Manage aspects of the project within defined budgets and agreed timelines through monitoring and tracking for adherence with the project brief and programme. Apply procedures related to contract execution. Required Skills and Experience

Minimum NFQ Level 7 degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or a Science discipline. Practical site experience (desired). Experience in being part of a project team from initial stages to delivery. Managing design/site activities including team coordination. Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate design/site activities.Experience in the execution of water/wastewater engineering projects is desirable. Full driving licence and own transport required. IT skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint. Good organisational and time management skills. Self‑motivated with strong communication and writing skills.Work Eligibility
