Field Service Engineer (Installation Engineer)
Salary:€36,000.00 - €49,500.00 Location: Leixlip, Ireland Responsibilities
Perform independent installation tasks, including mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations, and integration to inspection of tools. Follow all checklists and procedures; ensure correct procedures and schematics are available before work. Test equipment with assistance from senior engineers, using existing documentation and diagnostic techniques.Respond to factory issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls. Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and costs. Provide accurate reporting of status, hours worked, and non-conformances. Adhere to the security policy and quality standards of Applied Materials and its customers.Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electronics or related field. Experience in mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance; suitable for junior profiles. Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical and electrical issues during installation. Ability to communicate daily pass‑downs and equipment status reports.Project management skills to control installation projects within budget, timeline and quality requirements. Ability to work autonomously. Good written and verbal English communication skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Travel and Physical Requirements
Extensive traveling throughout Europe (approx. 75% of the time). The position requires extensive walking, standing, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, working at height, and lifting up to 35 lbs. The work may involve noise and use of hand and power tools. Clean room conditions require appropriate personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.Additional Information
