Title of Post: Teaching Assistant in Visual Cultural Studies and Spanish Contract Type: 10 Month Fixed Term

Salary Scale:€38,890 p.a. pro rata

Job Synopsis The School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics at the University of Limerick is seeking to appoint a specific purpose Teaching Assistant in Visual Cultural Studies and Spanish. The role will involve undergraduate teaching in cultural, film, and visual studies, including core and elective modules within Spanish and Hispanic Studies. The post holder will contribute to the design and delivery of lectures, seminars, and assessments, and to the supervision of undergraduate projects. The role also includes participation in curriculum delivery, academic administration, and student academic support as required. The ability to contribute to Spanish language teaching would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Deliver undergraduate lectures, seminars and assessments in cultural, film, and visual studies modules

Co‑design and deliver core and elective modules within the Spanish and Hispanic Studies stream

Supervise undergraduate projects and dissertations

Participate in curriculum delivery and academic administration

Provide student academic support as required

Contribute to Spanish language teaching where appropriate
