The Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) organization within Instrumentation delivers high‑performance solutions that enable production testing of advanced electrical and electronic systems—from high‑speed microprocessors to high‑voltage EV battery modules. About the Role:
As a Lead Designer, Layout, you hold a senior technical position working on our most complex layout challenges. You will develop innovative solutions requiring in-depth analysis and expertise, while serving as a key technical resource and leader for the organization. Your influence extends across organizational boundaries, impacting significant business outcomes.

Own the layout of complex blocks, including scheduling, floor planning, verification, and tapeoutDevelops solutions to complex problems requiring specialized expertise and in-depth analysisActs as a primary technical resource for less experienced engineersLeads teams and complex projects with substantial business impactInfluences across organizational boundaries to drive technical excellenceLeads complex IC layout projects and mentors junior engineersMakes critical IC architecture design decisions that shape product developmentPerforms advanced process evaluations and optimizationsDevelops layout methodologies and best practices that enhance team productivity and results

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience7+ years of relevant experienceProficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, including strong VXL expertise.Strong understanding of LVS, DRC, antenna checks, and associated verification/debug methodologies.Job Req Type: ExperiencedRequired Travel: Yes, 10% of the timeShift Type: 1st Shift/DaysThe expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $134,644 to $201,966.

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
