Senior Mechanical Design Engineer– 12497 Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (hybrid) – Limerick office.

Responsibilities

Oversee and deliver comprehensive Mechanical Design for projects of all sizes, ensuring exceptional client care.

Ensure quality control for Mechanical Engineering projects across all offices.

Manage project budgets and cost control effectively.

Lead project teams and cross‑functional teams within the organization.

Represent EDC at client meetings, site visits, surveys, and training as required.

Coordinate and collaborate with other EDC offices on relevant matters.

Requirements

Extensive experience in delivering detailed designs throughout the full design cycle.

Expertise in Mechanical design areas: Water Services, HVAC, Heating/LTHW, Fuel, drainage, and BMS.

In‑depth knowledge of Irish building regulations, particularly TGD Part B, F, G, and L, with proven application in design leadership.

Skilled in managing multiple projects, prioritising tasks, and maintaining efficient work plans.

Strong leadership in internal/external project management, ensuring client satisfaction, profitability, and upholding EDC’s reputation for repeat business.

Comprehensive understanding of multidisciplinary building design and installation, with excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and commercial awareness.
