Mechanical Engineer, Limerick

This job will suit a practical and commercially minded Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineer who can confidently manage projects from enquiry through to delivery.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical, equipment or machining engineering, strong CAD and drawing skills, and the ability to work closely with customers, production teams, and suppliers to deliver efficient, manufacturable solutions.

This role will suit someone who is organised, proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable balancing technical quality with production and commercial realities.

Ideal role for an engineer with a strong mechanical aptitude, good engineering understanding and excellent communication skills who enjoys working closely with customers and manufacturing and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage customer projects from enquiry to delivery

Act as the main technical point of contact for customers

Liaise with manufacturing and design teams daily

Review drawings and provide practical engineering input

Support quotations, costing, and project planning

Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities

Requirements

3+ years’ experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering

Strong mechanical and problem-solving ability

Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

Motivated, ambitious, and eager to build a long-term career

Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering preferred

SolidWorks or AutoCAD experience required
