QC Laboratory Technician, Limerick

Job Description

This is a full‑time, permanent position. Shift work is required: biweekly rotating pattern, 08:30 – 20:30. Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday. As a QC Laboratory Technician you will provide laboratory support services related to water sampling, operating waste and parts autoclaves, and performing cleanings on a QC Lab area simulating an ISO‑graded clean room, following customer procedures and Eurofins policies.Responsibilities

Support laboratory analytical personnel by carrying out ad‑hoc duties, including water sampling in grey space and assisting with investigations as required. Accurately and timely log samples, ensuring all documentation is completed right first time and maintained to required quality and GMP standards.Manage the day‑to‑day operation of autoclaves, including load preparation, periodic checks, validated load patterns and ensuring equipment operates correctly in line with approved procedures. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping across the laboratory, CTU and associated equipment, carryingout routine, periodic and ad‑hoc cleans in ISO‑graded cleanroom‑simulated environments.Participate in required training, complete and maintain training records, and support training of other team members when instructed. Operate with a strong customer focus, adhering to safety, quality and housekeeping standards, escalating anomalies or non‑conformances promptly, responding to customer queries, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications

Hold a relevant scientific qualification, ideally degree or diploma level, in a suitable discipline. Demonstrate effective planning and organisational skills, managing workload efficiently while meeting timelines and quality standards. Show a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring laboratory activities, data and documentation are completed right first time.Be a positive and reliable team player, contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing laboratory environment aligned with Eurofins values. Possess strong IT and documentation skills, supporting accurate data entry, record‑keeping and effective use of laboratory systems. Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, and have familiarity with pharmaceutical or laboratory operations, including GMP.
