Financial Accountant 28-35 hours (Flexible)

The Financial Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of the charity’s financial operations. 

Reporting to the Finance Manager the candidate will be responsible for:

Preparing year - end accounts and work with external auditors in the audit processDeveloping regular financial statements, preparing special projects and reporting of quarterly consolidated management accounts Administering & managing the payroll function and online bankingEnsuring control and statutory compliance in the sector. Maintaining an effective & up to date reporting framework Liaising with Auditors, Staff, Funders, Management & Board and other stakeholders as requiredPrepare and produce a SOFA (Statement of Financial Activities) in accordance with SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) for Charities including FRS102Production of management and statutory accounts to a high standard and linking with auditor on audit requirements;Maintenance and reconciliation of bank accounts, use of banking onlinePreparation of payroll and liaison in respect of all elements of Revenue, pension, Auto-Enrolment, VHI etcProviding financial expertise to senior management & Board as required and be an active member of the Audit Sub Committee DOCX 68.68 KB
