Instrument Cleaning & Sterilisation

Clean, disinfect, and sterilise surgical instruments and reusable medical equipment following hospital procedures. Use equipment such as autoclaves and washer-disinfectors to ensure all items are safe and ready for use.

Instrument Inspection & Tray Preparation

Check instruments to make sure they are clean, working properly, and free from damage. Prepare and organise surgical trays and procedure sets according to hospital guidelines.

Packaging & Distribution

Package sterile instruments securely to maintain cleanliness and safety. Deliver supplies to operating theatres, wards, and other departments on time.

Safety & Quality Standards

Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times. Keep accurate records to support traceability and comply with hospital and regulatory standards.

Equipment Use & Maintenance

Operate sterilisation and decontamination equipment safely and correctly. Report any faults or maintenance issues as soon as possible.

Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with theatre staff, nurses, and other support teams to ensure instruments and supplies are available when needed.
