STEM Recruitment Partners are working with a medical device company in Limerick, who are seeking a
R&D Engineer II
to join their team. You will support the development of a next-generation medical device. Up to€52/hour DOE 3 days onsite per week is required. 12 month contract but strong likelihood of extension. Role overview
You will support the development of new and existing products, provide technical input across project activities, and help ensure designs meet clinical, quality, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves contributing technical expertise, supporting design documentation, and working closely with internal stakeholders such as R&D, product management, and other functional teams. Key responsibilities
Lead or support defined portions of R&D projects and technical workstreams. Contribute to design decisions, problem-solving, testing, and development activities. Prepare and maintain design history file documentation and other technical records. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones and continuous improvement initiatives.Support innovation, technical best practices, and development of new concepts or processes. Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus around 3-5 years' relevant experience; Experience in a medical devices environment. Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across teams. Knowledge of medical device standards and regulatory requirements would be advantageous.
