R&D Design Engineer, Limerick

A global medical device company in Ireland is looking for an R&D Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The purpose of the role is design&development of their medical devices to bring products to market.

Responsibilities

Design, prototyping, test design, reviews, evaluations, V&V and protocols

Preparation&presentation of designs

Risk analysis&management

Process development engineering

Introduce new equipment, materials&technologies

Requirements

Mechanical engineering, Material Science, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent degree

Experience working as an R&D Engineer on medical device products

Minimum 1-5 years experience

Understanding regulatory requirements

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

The start date is ASAP/June. The initial contract length is 12 months, with multiple extension options after. The role is based in Limerick and requires at least 2-3 days onsite per week. The rate is between€35 - €45 per hour depending on experience.
