Conference and Banqueting Porter, Limerick

Absolute Hotel Limerick, part of Talbot Collection are recruiting for Conference and Banqueting Porter to join our team. The Conference and Banqueting Porter will report to the Food & Beverage Manager to deliver exceptional friendly service at all times to every guest in line with the Talbot Collection 'Empower Your Excellence' customer service program.

Role Specific Duties:

Set up, reset, and break down meeting and event rooms.

Ensure conference rooms are presented to a high standard before guest arrival.

Set up and test AV equipment including projectors, screens, and microphones.

Welcome and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Deliver refreshments, tea/coffee breaks, and working lunches.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of conference, public, and back-of-house areas.

Handle guest queries and complaints efficiently, escalating where necessary.

Liaise with management and colleagues to ensure successful event delivery.

Promote hotel services and uphold four-star hospitality standards.

Follow all Health & Safety, Fire, and Company procedures.

Requirements:

Previous hospitality, events, or hotel experience is desirable but not essential.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.

Basic AV knowledge is an advantage.

Reliable, professional, and able to work as part of a team.

Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

This position will involve shift and weekend work.
