As part of the Ireland Investor AML Ongoing Monitoring team, the role requires completing a workload under guidance from colleagues and line management, supporting all aspects of ongoing monitoring of investors in line with: AML legislation, regulation, and best practice The Ireland Investor AML Department’s processes and proceduresPartners must build strong relationships with the Northern Trust Transfer Agency, Client Services Departments, and other stakeholders to deliver a robust AML Ongoing Monitoring service to our client and investor base. Key Responsibilities
Take responsibility for timely and accurate completion of assigned AML Ongoing Monitoring workload on a daily basis. Participate actively and take ownership where required in the Investor AML periodic review process for all investors, reviewing documentation in adherence to AML policy and procedures.Work with colleagues and line management to review investor documentation and efficiently source any outstanding due diligence materials, escalating material issues promptly. Actively participate in daily AML ongoing monitoring processes such as transaction monitoring and overnight screening of investors and their accounts.Assess adverse media on investor accounts and high‑risk factors, including PEP involvement. Escalate and assist with resolving complex problems and critical issues referred to the team, as well as issues received from internal or external parties. Ensure all queries from internal and external parties are dealt with efficiently and professionally, with support from line management when required.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and partners in other Northern Trust departments. Collaborate with line management to ensure the team meets audit, risk and compliance standards as determined, and keeps pace with changes in legislation and guidance. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of AML regulation and best practice, promoting enhancements to our AML processes and procedures.Perform additional work where volume or absence requires completion across AML Ongoing Monitoring. Skills / Qualifications
Knowledge of day‑to‑day AML and Transfer Agency operations and the wider funds administration business. Strong organizational and communication skills. Effective risk‑management abilities. Ability to research, understand, and deliver solutions to issues, including complex ones as agreed with line management.Previous experience in an AML, Compliance or Transfer Agency role; experience in the assessment and ongoing monitoring of investor accounts preferred. Knowledge of the AML regulatory environment in Ireland and the UK preferred. Ability to work to tight deadlines and drive workloads forward using own initiative.General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications related to designated areas of responsibility.
