Special Needs Care Assistant (6 Vacancies) Cleaner (2 Vacancies) Maintenance (1 Vacancy) Job Description

Work directly with the unit team - implementing educational, social and development programmes for the varying needs of the service users who attend the units.

Participate in swimming, physical education and all recreational activities.

Work jointly with the unit head in planning and implementing programmes in the areas of washing, toileting, dressing and personal care. To comply with St. Christopher's Services and Community Employment Project Safety Statement and uphold safety procedures within the unit.

Duration of post 1 year subject to 3 years.

Hours per week 19.5 hours per week.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility to participate on Community Employment is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more.

Eligibility will have to be verified by the Department. This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary as accredited training will be provided to support the candidates career.
