Principal Objective Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Administration Assistant is responsible for supporting the
efficient day‑to‑day operation of the timber frame manufacturing facility through accurate production administration, reporting and planning support.
The role plays a key part in ensuring reliable operational data, improving administrative processes and supporting informed decision‑making across the production function
Knowledge&Experience
Previous experience in a production administration, manufacturing, operations support or similar analytical role.
Experience working within a manufacturing, construction or timber frame environment is highly desirable.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data analysis, reporting, templates and trackers).
Experience managing and analysing large volumes of operational or production data with a high level of accuracy.
Proven ability to develop and improve administrative systems, processes and reporting tools.
Experience supporting production planning, scheduling and material usage reporting.
Strong numerical and analytical capability with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and respond to changing operational demands.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and functions
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage production administration systems, records, and reporting processes
Produce timber usage projections and support material planning to improve stock control and minimise waste
Analyse production data and generate weekly and monthly reports for management and operational teams
Support optimisation of materials and production efficiency through data-driven analysis
Develop, improve, and maintain Excel-based templates, trackers, and reporting tools
Assist with scheduling work for production teams to support operational efficiency and delivery targets
Circulate key production data, KPIs, and performance reports to relevant departments on a weekly basis
Monitor production outputs and provide accurate reporting on productivity, efficiency, and material usage
Identify opportunities to improve existing manual administrative processes and implement more efficient systems
Support Plant Manager and production leadership team with operational administration and reporting requirements
Liaise with design, contracts, production, and management teams to ensure smooth flow of information across the business
Ensure all administration is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with business requirements
