Deputy Social Care Manager

Job Purpose
Jointly with the Manager, to share a commitment to the philosophy and objectives of the establishment. Maintain professional standards in social care and facilitate the operation of its day-to-day functions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Supervise social care staff, assisting the Manager with implementing policies, procedures, and handling budget, Health and Safety, staff training, supervision, appraisal, and recruitment.
Deputise for the Manager, overseeing operational tasks for the establishment and supporting service quality improvement within available resources.
Ensure service users and staff are encouraged to participate in decision-making related to their care and services, and report any shortfalls to the Manager.
Assess and supervise the preparation of reports and assessments, ensuring appropriate care practices are followed to preserve individuality and promote independence.
What You'll Need
Qualifications requirements
Deputy Managers must have a Social Care qualification and 3 years' experience of working at a social care grade with children.
Level 7 qualifications that may also be considered, along with 3 years working at a social care grade with children are: Degree in Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Social Sciences, Teaching or Nursing.
Full Driving License is essential
Vetting Requirement
- Successful candidates will be subject to Garda Vetting through Tusla and the National Vetting Bureau
