Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Administrative IV grade Full Time Energy&Sustainability Manager to work in the Estates team, specialising in energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability programmes. The role supports the Climate Action Roadmap, which aims to improve energy efficiency by 50% from the 2009 baseline and reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 51% from the 2016‑18 baseline years.
Key Responsibilities
Play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operation and optimisation of the University’s sustainability strategy, energy strategy, and operational delivery of energy efficiency initiatives.
Lead on design and implementation of all Energy and Sustainability activities across various university properties.
Collaborate with stakeholders—including managers, engineers, and technical staff—to enhance energy and sustainability performance and overall compliance with government regulations.
Assist in leading on‑site direct labour staff and oversee contractor performance to ensure energy and sustainability goals are achieved with a focus on continuous improvement.
Work within the Estates Capital Development Team and the wider Estates Office to provide leadership and management with a focus on value for money and an integrated approach to service delivery across all Estates activities.
Benefits Salary:€70,734 – €112,314 p.a. (Senior Administrative Officer IV (2026))
