Description
Writech is an internationally recognised leader in Fire Protection Systems, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific engineering projects. You will work closely with other Project Engineers, Technical Design Leads, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
THE ROLE
Act as a liaison between engineers, architects, and stakeholders to interpret design intent and incorporate feedback.
Facilitate regular coordination meetings to ensure alignment across disciplines.
Collaborate with design teams to integrate structural designs into project models.
Resolve design conflicts to maintain project consistency and quality.
Stay updated on Revit, BIM practices, and engineering software advancements to enhance design efficiency.
Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, changes, and updates in Revit.
Generate reports and schedules from Revit models to support project management.
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets with management.
Oversee project execution, resource management, and delivery of project milestones.
Monitor progress, make adjustments, and communicate status to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Manage risks and address potential issues before they impact project delivery.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely materials and equipment delivery.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance.
Mentor junior project engineers as needed.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
At least two years of experience in project engineering or related field
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
Minimum 2-year Fire and Sprinkler experience
Strong Technical Skills and experience in Fire Protection Systems design and Installation
Excellent Project Management skills, including the ability to plan, organise and manage resources to achieve project goals.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project team members, and senior Management.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome project challenges.
Experience with Project Management software such as MS Project or similar tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
