Description
Naas General Hospital– Physiotherapist One permanent whole‑time and two specified‑purpose vacancies are available. A panel may be formed for future full‑time or part‑time vacancies of physiotherapists.
Purpose of the Post The provision of a quality Physiotherapy service in line with standards of Physiotherapy practice. To provide quality, client‑centred Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to identified client groups at designated centres as directed by the Physiotherapy Manager.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are graduating in 2026 are eligible to apply for this campaign.
Statutory registration or eligibility for registration on the Physiotherapist Register maintained by the Physiotherapist Registration Board at CORU. Current approved qualifications can be found at proof of statutory registration before a contract of employment can be issued.
Maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapist Register and confirm annually with CORU via the Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
Be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health with a reasonable prospect of rendering regular and efficient service.
Be of good character.
Note: Individuals who qualified before 30 September 2018 and are registered or have applied for registration under Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 must hold a physiotherapy qualification approved by CORU to be eligible to apply. The list of approved qualifications under the Section 91 route can be accessed at 91 candidates must have qualified before 30 September 2018 and have practiced for at least two years full‑time between 1 October 2016 and 30 September 2018.
2026 undergraduate students who are due to qualify no later than 31 December 2026 are eligible to apply. Successful applicants will be recorded as dormant until they submit their final examination results and recognition of the qualification from CORU, if applicable.
Post Specific Requirements
Demonstrate recent experience of working or placement within an acute hospital.
Demonstrate experience working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
