IT Systems Analyst Contract Type: 24-month fixed term contract About the Role: Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the next stage of the HorseSource IT system rollout. This is an exciting, and challenging project management assignment for a skilled, experienced project manager who has experience of IT/CRM project management in a challenging timeframe.This is a key strategic role responsible for expanding the already-functioning Microsoft Dynamics-based system—currently operational within the Registrations area. About the Organisation: HSI is recognised as the National Governing Body for the Irish Sport Horse sector. HSI unites equestrian sport and sport horse breeding under one governing body and is responsible for devising and implementing strategies for the development and promotion of an internationally competitive Irish equestrian industry, covering high-performance sport, breeding and production, coaching and education, sport and recreation.HSI’s mission is to elevate Ireland’s global success in equestrian sport by developing world-class athletes, coaches, and equine partnerships, underpinned by strong governance, athlete-centred delivery, and a values-led culture. HSI’s funding partners are the Department of Agriculture, Food andthe Marine (DAFM), Sport Ireland, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and Sport Northern Ireland.Overview of the Role: This is a 24-month fixed-term contract, 5-day per week role (Monday– Friday). While HSI is open to a hybrid working arrangement, the successful candidate will be initially required to work full-time on-site in HSI offices. The reason for this is to ensure that the successful candidate builds and fosters essential relationships with key staff and managers and gains an in-depth understanding of HSI’s business operations. In time, there will be scope to apply for a hybrid working arrangement.Key Project Context: The HorseSource system is built on Microsoft Dynamics and represents a major digital transformation for HSI. With core functionality already live in the Registrations area, this role focuses on the continued development and delivery of the next phase of the system development and implementation.The Project Manager will act as a critical link between internal stakeholders and external partners, specifically Weatherbys and the software provider, Tekenable. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Sport phase of HorseSource. Coordinate across multiple stakeholders including HSI teams, Weatherbys, and Tekenable.Ensure the project remains on track and within scope, budget, and timeline. Develop and maintain strong working relationships across all participating entities. Monitor project risks, resolve issues promptly, and maintain quality assurance. Ensure all deliverables are aligned with grant-aid compliance and reporting requirements.Provide regular project updates and reporting to the executive team. Key Deliverables: Delivery of new modules/functionality within tight deadlines. Effective coordination across internal and external teams. Relationship management and communication across all stakeholders. Cost control and budget adherence.Successful deployment of the system within the defined timeframe. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in related field Recognised Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, etc. would be a distinct advantage Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: Proven experience in delivering complex IT/CRM projects, preferably involving Microsoft Dynamics.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience of using the Microsoft DevOps environment Experience of Project Management software such as MS Project Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management systems Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectivesExtensive understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to managing complex project plans Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders Experience within a regulated environmentStrict attention to detail Ability to interact professionally with all organisational levels Budget management and cost control?? A track record of working within deadline-critical and grant-funded environments.
