Junior Project Manager - Kildare - Construction Industry

Junior Project Manager - KildareDesign Build Search is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Irish construction contractor for a Junior Project Manager who will support construction projects across logistics, pharmaceutical, and data centre developments. It is important to have a strong engineering background and be comfortable working with drawings, specifications, programmes, and technical challenges, while supporting planning, coordination, and execution alongside senior PMs and site teams. Project Delivery&Management Assist in project delivery from pre-start through to handover Develop, manage, and maintain the project programme using planning software (e.g. MS Project) Monitor progress weekly and update schedules for reporting purposes Identify programme risks early and implement mitigation strategies Report potential delays to senior management in advance Coordination&Design Management Oversee design coordination and support resolution of technical/design issues Work closely with Design Managers to ensure alignment with programme requirements Manage technical submittals, approvals, and related documentation Ensure BIM processes are effectively implemented where required Procurement&Commercial Interface Coordinate with commercial/QS teams on subcontractor and materials procurement Support tender preparation and construction methodology input when required Site Leadership&Communication Run weekly QA and coordination meetings with subcontractors and site team Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers Ensure full compliance with all health&safety legislation and company systems Implement site inductions, RAMS, permits, toolbox talks, and safety procedures Maintain and regularly review Construction Phase Plans and risk assessments Skills&Experience Required Proven experience as a Project Engineer with Project Manager experience on large-scale construction projects Strong understanding of programme management and construction sequencing Experience managing subcontractors across multiple work packages Proficient in MS Office and planning tools (MS Project or similar) Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Confident in delegating and managing site teams effectively Benefits&Next Steps Competitive salary package (based on experience) Strong benefits package Long-term career progression opportunities Exposure to high-profile, large-scale construction projects Supportive environment with ongoing professional development To apply for this role please send a detailed resume outlining your experience and projects.
