Description
Murphy is recruiting a SHESQ Advisor to work with our Transportation&Infrastructure team on Leinster and Dublin areas.

The role involves ensuring safe execution of works and embedding the company’s ‘Never Harm’ culture on site.

What You Will Be Doing

Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System and Quality Management Systems and ensuring continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.

Carrying out inductions.

Producing monthly statistics.

Championing the Culture Development Programme (behaviour‑based safety programme).

Carry out and document site audits and inspections.

Keeping up to date with changes in safety, health and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance.

Ensuring personnel on site have the pre‑requisite training records.

Investigating, logging and monitoring incidents and non‑conformances.

Completing all necessary report forms.

Identifying significant safety impacts for work areas and helping set‑up appropriate controls.

Ensuring all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available.

Preparing and presenting toolbox talks as and when required.

Preparing and presenting at monthly safety meetings.

Reviewing subcontractor documentation.

Who We Are Looking For

Higher Diploma in Health&Safety.

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience on civil engineering/construction sites.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams.

Good written and spoken communication abilities.

Good IT skills with a high attention to detail.

A flexible and proactive approach.

Demonstrated leadership skills.

Experience implementing and rolling out behaviour‑based programmes.
