QA Inspector, Kildare

Scope of the Role As a QA mechanical inspector you are required to help in the delivery of a zero defect / zero rework project.

Our quality goal is "Zero snags at the time where the foreman announces that a system or part of a system in complete".

You are required to help deliver your department goals in a forward looking and controlled manner.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

Assist in the development of any project specific work procedures

Assist in the development of any project specific ITP's.

Hold Quality Induction Workshops to promote awareness of the project specific requirements.

Conducts and records surveillance / in progress inspections of the Mechanical installations

Carry out interim installation line walks to ensure that the following are being carried out in accordance with the requirements of the relative specification.

Correct POC Identified

Latest drawings available

Supports installed as construction progresses

Labelling correct

Welding inspections carried out as required

Equipment installed as per P&ID

High point vents and low point drains installed as required

Correct bolt and gasket types being installed

Correct pipe shields installed as required

Assists in final inspections with the construction supervisors as required.

Complete system handover walks with the client.

Assists with collation of documentation for the Construction Handover dossiers (i.e., QCC dossiers).

Inspection frequency as attached in specific ITP's.

Essential Criteria for the Role

A relevant Third Level or Professional Qualification

Ability to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines

Good organisational and planning skills

Excellent work and personal ethics that include trustworthiness, commitment, and empathy

Confident, creative, and energetic approach to addressing all quality-related issues

Ability to produce quality written reports

Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
