Contracts Manager Overview Our client is a leading international construction and engineering company delivering large-scale, high-value projects across a range of sectors. They are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects, or a single major project, through strong leadership, commercial oversight, technical expertise, and effective stakeholder management throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Project Management&Delivery

Lead the planning, management, and progress tracking of project works

Take overall responsibility for project performance, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, quality, and safety standards

Manage multiple large-scale projects or a single high-value project from inception through completion

Identify risks, resolve issues proactively, and implement effective problem-solving strategies

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean construction practices across projects

Design&Technical Coordination

Manage design teams and external consultants throughout the project lifecycle

Review and challenge design solutions where necessary to ensure compliance with best practice and project objectives

Support internal design management teams and contribute technical expertise across all project stages

Promote and oversee BIM implementation and adherence to best practices

Planning&Resource Management

Develop and communicate project programmes using tools such as Microsoft Project and Navisworks

Lead daily planning and progress discussions with site teams through structured coordination meetings

Plan and allocate internal resources and subcontractor requirements in line with project demands

Manage subcontractor procurement, selection, and performance throughout project delivery

Oversee the coordination and management of Mechanical&Electronic contractors and other specialist subcontractors

Commercial&Stakeholder Management

Establish and monitor project KPIs to ensure successful delivery and performance tracking

Collaborate with business development and marketing teams in support of company growth initiatives

Prepare and deliver both internal and external project reporting

Represent the company at client and stakeholder meetings

Team Leadership&Communication

Provide leadership, coaching, and support to project and site teams

Chair weekly internal site coordination meetings

Lead M&E coordination meetings alongside the M&E Coordinator

Manage and lead key subcontractor and stakeholder meetings throughout the project lifecycle

Key Requirements

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Third-level qualification in Construction Management

Membership of a recognised professional or industry body

Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role

Demonstrated experience delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget
