Experienced Accounting Technician Permanent Hybrid Salary -€40,000 ( DOE) A well-established accountancy practice based in North Kildare is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join its growing team. Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for an experienced Accounting Technician. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with team members to ensure accurate and efficient financial management for a diverse client portfolio. Qualifications Accounting Technician qualified (IATI) IPASS qualification advantageous Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role; practice experience desirable Hands-on experience with Sage, Bright Accounts (Surf), TaxPro, and Dext Ability to work effectively under pressure Strong client relationship and communication skills for client-facing interactions Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities Key Responsibilities Recording Transactions Accurately record financial transactions for clients using accounting software includingDext and BrightBooks Process entries for sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments Maintaining the General Ledger Organise and categorise transactions into appropriate ledger accounts Ensure financial records are accurate, organised, and up to date Reconciling Accounts Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts Investigate and resolve discrepancies where necessary Preparing Financial Reports Assist in preparing financial reports including: Income statements Balance sheets Cash flow statements Tax Compliance Prepare and file VAT, VIES, RTD, and RCTreturns with Revenue Income Tax Preparation Prepare income tax returns by organising financial information and supporting documentation Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations Position Details Full-time role 5 days per week Hybrid working model: 3 days office-based 2 days remote Salary Salary DOE (circa €40,000)TLNT1_IJ
