Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-Term

Contract Duration: 12 months

Salary: €14.15 – €14.95 per hour

Assist residents with getting up in the morning, going to bed at night, and resting comfortably during the day.

Support residents during mealtimes, including serving meals and refreshments, assisting with eating where required, and helping with light food preparation and clearing tables.

Ensure all equipment used is cleaned thoroughly after use and returned safely to its designated storage area.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all medical aids and equipment used by residents.

Handle soiled linen and clothing in accordance with infection prevention and hygiene protocols.

Prepare and accompany residents for appointments with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, as well as outings and visits when required.

Assist residents with mobility, repositioning, and turning to prevent pressure-related skin damage.

Provide personal care to incontinent residents, including bathing, changing clothing, and changing bed linen as necessary.

Support residents to access communal areas and activities such as the chapel, dining room, toilet facilities, and organised events.

Promote residents’ physical, emotional, mental, and social wellbeing through conversation, companionship, walks, and participation in meaningful activities such as reading and writing.

At least one year of healthcare experience is necessary. Healthcare QQI Level 5 Award or its equivalent valid visa or work permit, if necessary. (Suggested)
