Job Description This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our unique 5‑star luxury environment. This is a permanent role, 5 days over 7 days.
In conjunction with the senior F&B leaders, this position has responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of our beverage service in both our bar and lounge areas throughout the hotel. It may also require assisting in our dining room where required.
Main duties&responsibilities
To work closely with and provide leadership to our bartenders/mixologists, whilst maintaining and elevating our beverage offerings
Ensure you are up to date on the daily menus and wine offerings to make suitable recommendations and answer any guest questions and queries
To keep traceability of all the beverages, post them onto the correct room and ensure the equipment is controlled and properly used
Complete stocktakes as and when required
Ensure the bar and pre‑dinner station is set (assist where required) and the appropriate glassware and equipment are available and polished
Make sure all menus are up to date, in good order and priced correctly displaying correct grammar and presentation
Plan, organise, control and review all service and systems to provide the best possible beverage service to guests
Ensure the F&B team consistently maintains a high level of quality service to restaurant, bar and lounge patrons
Assist with opening and/or closing duties following all standards and procedures in place
Share and train other staff on beverage, food, cheese and wine knowledge in conjunction with the glass offerings
Support the sommelier in organising the cellar, wine fridges and wine stocktake
Conduct wine and/or whiskey tastings with guests as and when required
Communicate effectively with all team members, promoting good working relationships and creating a positive working environment and culture
Qualifications
Fluent in English with strong communication skills
Professional, well‑groomed and presentable
Excellent knowledge of food&beverage including wine, whiskey and cocktails
Personable, charismatic and well‑rounded hotelier with supervisory&leadership experience within a luxury hotel background
Culture creator that values people and creates a workplace where staff are valued equally to guests
Great team player capable of motivating and leading staff members
