About the job We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain planning activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving production planning, inventory optimisation, capacity management, and cross-functional supply chain coordination to ensure operational efficiency and customer service excellence. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with leadership, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement expertise. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly Sales&Operations Planning (S&OP) and long-range planning processes. Develop and manage detailed production schedules aligned to customer demand and manufacturing capacity. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure effective supply chain coordination and delivery performance. Monitor and optimise inventory levels to balance material availability, production continuity, and cost control. Conduct supply chain scenario planning and risk analysis to support business decision-making. Drive capacity planning and inventory management initiatives across operations. Support core planning activities including Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Track, analyse, and report operational and planning performance metrics. Participate in wider supply chain and network planning initiatives to improve integration and service levels. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within planning and supply chain processes. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all planning activities. Skills&Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline. Significant experience within a manufacturing or supply chain planning environment. Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, with SAP experience highly desirable. Proven leadership and team collaboration capabilities. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to adapt planning strategies within changing business environments. Experience managing inventory, production planning, and supply chain optimisation activities.
