Qualified Dental Nurse, Sligo

Qualified Dental Nurse required for a well established orthodontic practice in Sligo.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during routine and specialist dental procedures

Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment

Maintain cross-infection control and decontamination procedures

Prepare treatment rooms before and after patients

Record and update patient notes and medical histories

Take dental radiographs where qualified and authorised

Support patients before, during, and after treatment

Manage stock levels and order dental supplies

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Use dental software systems for records and appointments

Assist with reception duties when required, including appointment scheduling and patient queries.

Requirements

Recognised Dental Nursing qualification

Eligible to work in Ireland

Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards

Fluent English communication skills

Computer literacy and familiarity with dental practice software

Dental Radiography qualification

Experience with software such as Dentally, SOE, Aerona, or Exact

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organisation and time management

Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment

Professional and caring manner with patients

Attention to detail and clinical hygiene standards
