Marine Mechanic, South Dublin

We are presently recruiting for a Marine Mechanic for our clients based in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin. You will be responsible for will diagnosing, servicing and repair outboard and inboard marine engines and related mechanical systems. You will conduct routine maintenance and performance testing, collaborating with technical teams to optimize reliability and will ensuring compliance with safety and maritime standards and maintaining accurate service records.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, outboard motors, and inboard propulsion systems. Inspect, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on vessels. Conduct engine overhauls, cooling system flushes, and fuel system servicing to ensure optimal performance. Install and test new mechanical components, propellers, and related marine equipment. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Maintain detailed service records, parts inventories, and inspection reports. Comply with safety standards and maritime regulations during all repair and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with ship crews, supervisors, and other technicians to plan and prioritize work

Qualifications:

1+ years experience in a similar position Marine Engineering or Mechanical diploma/certificate Diesel engine and outboard motor training Manufacturer certifications are highly regarded Basic welding and electrical skills
