Team Leader - South Dublin

Heritage Homecare is seeking to recruit experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our South Dublin team. This is a guaranteed hours contract, depending on the candidates availability.

Rates of Pay:

Monday Friday €17.00 an hour

Saturday Sunday €20.00 an hour if worked

The Role:

This role involves providing temporary care services to new clients; those already at home or those awaiting discharge from hospital. The clients may have needs that vary from moderate to high complex needs and the Senior Healthcare Assistant will work with them initially to support a settled and comprehensive service. The Senior Healthcare Assistant will then provide guidance and mentoring to the newly allocated carer team. The role will also require successful candidates to provide direct client care and to cover planned annual leave and day to day absences to ensure continuity of care. In this role you will be working on a roster to cover carers' spot checks.This will be within reason and agreed with their direct manager.

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager the main functions of the role are:

• Provide direct client care
• Effectively provide initial care to clients to commence their new home care package
• Cover clients for annual leave/sick leave as agreed by direct line manager
• Be able to effectively communicate with team members, and support working relationships with other health professionals along with office staff
• Respond professionally to emergency on call situations, ensuring all needs are met
• Assist and support Quality team in ensuring compliance with care standards and regulations
• Support staff within the team by guiding and mentoring other care team members
• Assist with administration of client files within the home and assistance with PPE distribution

Candidate Requirements:

• QQI Level 6 Healthcare Modules/equivalent
• Experience as a Homecare Assistant
• Full Clean Drivers Licence and own car
• An understanding of the company ethos and values while recognising and respecting the values of individuals.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Appropriate permission to work full time in Ireland.
