Social Care Worker– Kerry – Agency work TUSLA mainstream residential units Social Care Worker required for role providing care to adolescents in a residential care environment.

Job Specification

Provide care and support to adolescents from ages 12– 17 years in the care of my client’s services.

To contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming and caring environment and to a high standard of child care practice throughout the unit.

To contribute to the provision of a programme of stimulating activities for the children and young people.

To ensure that all relevant records within the unit are updated regularly.

Provide support to young people to engage with educational activities.

Support young people in maintaining contact and access visits with their family.

Adhere to the organisational policies and reporting requirements.

Observing and recording observations of the young people in the care of the service.

Person Specification

Experience working with adolescents ideally in a residential/care environment.

Experience working with challenging behaviour is advantageous.

Relevant degree in Social Care

Flexible to work roster arrangement as required.
