We are currently seeking suitably qualified candidates for the position of
Senior
Grade Dietitian
to join a healthcare facility in
Tralee, Ireland
.
This is a Part-Time/
fixed-term position (24.5 hours per week)
Responsibilities
Provide an evidence-based dietetic service for inpatient and outpatient service users within a best practice framework.
Conduct nutritional assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans and therapeutic interventions.
Identify and manage requirements for oral, enteral, and therapeutic nutritional support.
Make specialist clinical decisions following assessment of complex patient cases.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team supporting outpatient services in community-based settings.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based dietetic practice through continuing professional development, training, and conferences.
Manage the day-to-day caseload, including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and follow-up care.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support coordinated patient care and service delivery.
Support the development and improvement of nutrition and dietetic services in line with organisational goals and quality standards.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, data collection, reporting activities, and maintain flexibility to support evolving service and team requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Human Nutrition&Dietetics from Trinity College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology, or an equivalent recognised qualification in Dietetics.
Qualifications obtained outside the Republic of Ireland must be validated by the Irish Department of Health&Children.
Minimum of three years’ satisfactory post‑qualification experience in a Senior Dietitian role.
Current registration with CORU.
Strong clinical knowledge and professional competence required for effective role performance.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Good IT skills and ability to utilise digital healthcare systems effectively.
Adaptable, motivated, and innovative approach to service delivery and change management.
