We are hiring Suitably qualified persons for the permanent position of Senior Grade Cardiac Physiologist into a Hospital in Tralee, Ireland.
Cardiac Physiologist – Senior Grade
Full-Time | Permanent
Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations, including Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography, ECGs, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and exercise stress testing.
- Assist with and support invasive cardiac procedures within the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, as required.
- Ensure the accurate acquisition, analysis, reporting, and documentation of diagnostic test results.
- Provide high-quality patient care, maintaining patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot specialised cardiology equipment, ensuring compliance with quality assurance and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, physiologists, and multidisciplinary team members to support effective patient management.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and review of clinical protocols, policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior physiologists, students, and other staff members as appropriate.
- Contribute to service planning, audit activities, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing professional development (CPD), training, and participation in relevant educational activities.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Participate in departmental meetings, service development projects, and research activities where appropriate.
