Location: North Kerry Area, Co. Kerry
Hours: Part-Time – Monday to Friday Mornings

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Community Nurse to support the delivery of high-quality homecare services in the North Kerry area.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients, families, and care staff to ensure person-centred care is delivered to the highest standard within the community setting.

This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys working independently, building strong relationships, and supporting individuals to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments and complete care reviews
• Develop and update person-centred care plans
• Support and monitor the delivery of high-quality homecare services
• Provide clinical guidance and support to care staff where required
• Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping
• Liaise with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor safeguarding, infection prevention, and quality standards
• Assist with staff support, induction, and competency monitoring
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, HSE guidelines, and company policies

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse qualification (RGN, RNID, or RPN) with active NMBI registration
• Minimum of 5 years’ post-registration nursing experience
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Full clean driver’s licence and access to own transport
• Good IT and administrative skills

Desirable Criteria

• Experience within homecare, community care, residential or disability services
• Experience completing care assessments and reviews
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and community-based care delivery
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
