We’re delighted to be partnering with a leading main building contractor based in Waterford, who are currently seeking an enthusiastic engineer to join their growing team on a range of high-quality commercial and residential building projects across the region.

About the Company Our client is an established and reputable main contractor known for delivering complex building projects to the highest standards. With a strong pipeline of work in Waterford and the Southeast, they offer an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to gain hands‑on experience and grow within a supportive, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Site Manager and Senior Engineer in all day‑to‑day site operations

Set out, level, and survey the site using modern surveying equipment

Ensure work is carried out according to technical drawings and specifications

Support quality assurance, health&safety, and compliance procedures

Liaise with subcontractors, design teams, and suppliers

Maintain accurate site records and documentation

Requirements

Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline

0–2 years’ experience in a similar role (placement experience considered)

Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills

Proficient with AutoCAD and setting‑out equipment (Total Station, GPS, etc.)

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
