Overview We are partnering with a fast-growing private business in the construction sector to recruit a Head of Sales. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, leading sales teams, expanding into new markets, and shaping long‑term commercial strategy.

This is a highly hands‑on position suited to a commercially astute leader with deep sector knowledge and a track record of delivering growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing sales teams

Define and execute sales strategies, pricing models, and customer plans

Drive revenue, margin, and profitability targets across the business

Identify and develop new markets, both domestically and internationally

Explore and introduce new products and services aligned to market demand

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners

Oversee key account management and long‑term customer retention

Manage escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution

Deliver accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis

Work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance

Present sales performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

Candidate Profile

Proven experience in a senior commercial or sales leadership role within Building Products

Strong exposure to Builders Merchants and construction supply channels

Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution

Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management

High level of commercial awareness and market insight

Proficient in Excel and Office 365; CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce) is advantageous
