Day Centre Manager, Waterford

AA Euro Healthcare are delighted to be seeking an experienced Day Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day running of a dementia day care service for our client in Waterford. Our clients focus is to ensure a supportive and welcoming environment for people living with dementia and their families. The role focuses on delivering quality care, supporting staff, and their service users receive a person-centred support for their individual needs.

The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, supporting staff, maintaining quality standards and ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for service users and employees alike.

Candidate Requirements

• A qualification in Social Care, Nursing, or a related field is desirable
• Experience supporting people living with dementia
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Positive attitude with the ability to lead by example and make staff feel valued
• Experience in Human Resource Management, Budget Management, Quality Standards, and Risk Management is desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Day Centre service
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support for people living with dementia
• Support, motivate, and supervise staff while promoting a positive team culture
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies, and risk management procedures
• Assist with budget management and efficient resource allocation
• Build strong relationships with service users, families, staff, and external stakeholders
• Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing for all service users
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required

This is a Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week)

Salary is based on experience and aligned with rates within the care sector.
