Social Care Leader – Children’s Residential Services

Location: Ballinvalley, Wicklow

We are currently accepting applications for Social Care Leaders to join the team at the Ballinvalley service in Wicklow, working as part of a committed residential care team supporting vulnerable young people.

The Role

As a Social Care Leader, you will play a key leadership role within the residential service, supporting the delivery of safe, consistent, and high-quality care while guiding and mentoring Social Care Workers.

Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day running of the residential serviceProvide leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff on shiftPromote and deliver trauma-informed, person-centred careEnsure compliance with organisational policies and the Irish National Standards for Children’s Residential CentresSupport young people to feel safe, supported, and empoweredParticipate in care planning, reviews, and key-working duties

Essential Criteria

Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant equivalentFull, clean manual driver’s licence valid in IrelandKnowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential CentresEligible to work in IrelandExperience working in services where TCI is usedMinimum of 2 years’ experience working at Social Care grade with young people
