Job Details:
We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the above position in our Designated Centre (Crossroads). Candidates must be highly motivated, creative with a passion for engaging with the individuals we support on a daily basis. Candidates must be self-driven, focussed and person-centred. Working hours and shifts will be variable including day, evening, weekends & sleepovers/night duty as required. All contracts are with the Service.

Key Responsibilities & requirements:
- To facilitate and implement a person-centred approach for the individuals we support appropriate to their wishes and goals
- To promote and protect the rights of the individuals we support in a manner that respects their dignity, their right to make choices and their privacy
- To actively seek new interests and opportunities for the individuals to develop meaningful roles in their communities
- To ensure the overall wellbeing of the individuals in all areas of their lives including health and personal care
- Dealing with Behaviours that challenge
- Experience in managing risk/risk assessments
- Experience in alternative communications
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- A knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standards
- A knowledge of New Directions
- Have the ability to deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible manner
- Excellent IT and report writing skills
Qualification/Requirements:
- A minimum of QQI Level 5 in Health Care Support/Social Care (A Diploma or Degree in Social Care or other relevant discipline advantageous)
- 6 months experience of working with people with an Intellectual Disability required
- Must hold a full clean driving licence and willing to drive company vehicles
- Be available to work a variety of day, evening, weekends, sleepovers & night duty required.
