Site Engineer | Gorey, Wexford
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading construction company delivering high-quality projects across Ireland.
This role will suit a motivated and detail-oriented engineer with strong setting out experience, excellent technical ability, and a proactive approach to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Set out works accurately and ensure site teams clearly understand all technical information provided
Interpret and communicate drawings, specifications, and construction details to site teams and subcontractors
Carry out material testing in accordance with project specifications and company procedures
Maintain accurate daily site records, progress reports, and site diaries
Monitor and report on subcontractor performance and project progress to management
Work proactively with construction management systems including Procore
Ensure all works are carried out in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
Monitor and maintain setting out instruments and testing equipment
Assist with BCAR documentation and project compliance requirements
Liaise with Irish Water representatives and ensure works comply with relevant procedures and standards
Contribute to efficient project delivery through accurate setting out and minimising re-workAttend site meetings and coordinate effectively with project stakeholders
Continuously pursue professional development and training opportunities
Requirements
Third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Site Engineer or Setting Out role
Previous experience working with a main contractor, subcontractor, or surveying firm preferred
Strong knowledge of setting out equipment including GPS and robotic instruments
Good understanding of groundworks and Irish Water specifications/procedures
Strong awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint, and construction software systems
